That technician tried for nearly another hour, without success, with solving the problem on Firefox. I should have let it go at that point, but I called in again with the same case number and got a different technician.

When I tried to change the temporary password on Firefox for Norton the sign out problem returned. Unfortunately, the browser that I normally rely upon is Firefox. On Chrome and on Edge I was able to go back and put in a more detailed permanent password. Unfortunately, I used a short temporary password, as the technician tried and failed numerous times before the sign out problem disappeared on each browser. The technician did this for my three browsers: Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. As near as I could tell the process was to first clear the browser history, and the next step was to clear cookies, site data, exceptions, etc.

I had to give access to my computer to the technician. I was upgraded to a technician after about 10 minutes on that call. I spent one hour with Norton customer support.
